Are you a planner? Me too! And if you are like me, I love January (and December) because I’m working on my goals and making plans of how I’m going to execute the goals I’ve set and planned for the New Year.
Every morning, I open the Bible and dive into and study various chapters and verses. On New Year’s Day, I was reading through Proverbs 19, and verse 21 stuck out.
I did something I wasn’t planning to do. I recorded a Bible Study on what the Bible says about planning. You can watch it here or listen to it on the Giving Your Best Life podcast. It’s episode #92!
After I recorded the session, I spent several hours with my friend Zach (you’ll be hearing from him in upcoming podcast episodes) working on my goals. If I look at the list, none of them are my goals. They are not anything I would plan to do. They are all hard and outside of my comfort zone. And quite frankly, my life would be so much easier if I did none of them and focused on what I wanted to focus on.
But as I look at the list for today, it’s not my plan; it’s God's plan. And I will be obedient to do what God is calling me to do. The only way I accomplish these goals is by trusting Him, walking each day in faith, and knowing I can’t rely on my own strength, but His.
One of these goals is hosting the Giving Your Best Life conference with my friend Amy.
If you are feeling stuck and know that God has a plan for your life, but you aren’t sure how to get through doubt, fear, and the overwhelm of a busy schedule, join us for a life-changing day. This isn’t just a day to hear us talk the talk, you will have to roll up your sleeves and do work. You will have to get uncomfortable and face what has been holding you back.
And if that scares you, I understand. But you will be surrounded by other amazing women who are going to walk through this day with you. There will be prayer warriors praying for you. And we will be worshiping and praising God!
If you are used to investing your time and money in everyone else but yourself, this is the year you give yourself the freedom to do what God has been calling you to do. And what you’ll find is, when you learn how to give to yourself, you’ll be able to give and serve others so much better.
Registration is closing soon, so don’t wait! Register now and allow God to write your story in 2024.
Stepping out in faith,
Stephanie
