This May Help You with Burnout

“I figured hard work would make it go away!”

That is what my dad told me when I asked him why he hadn’t gone to the chiropractor for his back that had been out of whack for over a week.

Instead of rest he went out and chopped wood for…three hours!

I chuckled when he told me this, but then I thought, how many times do I do this? My guess is you may have done this also.

Ever feel exhausted and instead of resting you keep burning the midnight oil?

Or what about not feeling well and instead of going to the doctor, everyone’s schedule is a priority over yours?

Sister, if you answered yes to both of these, I’m with you.

As I heal from Lyme’s and other health challenges, I’m learning the importance of slowing down, resting, saying no, and being okay with putting myself/health first.

And maybe this sounds a little selfish, but for over a year, I haven’t been able to serve anyone well because I crashed and burned.

High rates of burnout are spreading across the workplace and in our lives.

So, how do we claw our way back to a life of energy and purpose?

I don’t have all the answers, but I developed the 4G Method and have experienced how living this way has brought healing, joy, and a slower pace into my life.

As a gift to you, you can download (here) your free journal here.

In addition to the 4G Method, I recommend slowing down enough to catch a sunset. I do this almost every day. I included the picture of a recent sunset I snapped while out on Capability Farm with my dad. Absolutely breathtaking.

I know it’s been a few months since I’ve communicated with you and it’s my goal to get back on track. While dealing with health challenges, I’ve learned some days, it’s two steps forward and one step (or more) back.

I love this community and I’m so grateful for all the support you’ve given me over the years. And if you are new, welcome! I look forward to getting to know you. Over the next year, I’ll be launching more books, resources, and a conference (save the date for February 7th)!!! So be ready to get to Giving Your Best Life!

Blessings,

Stephanie
