Hey friend!
Today, I’m practicing what I preach. I’m showing myself grace, and you should,
too.
I’ve meant to send you a newsletter for months, but I didn’t get around to it until
today. It’s not that communicating isn’t important…I love you, friend! My to-do list is
always bigger than the hours I have available a day/week.
Can you relate?
Many actions and activities lead to burnout. It’s a compounding effect: the more
stressors we pile on without rest for our minds and bodies, the more likely we are to
crash.
Our list and pressures only grow as we head into the holiday season.
Take a minute today to review your calendar and block off time for two activities.
1. Block time for an evaluation of your “to-do” list. Look at your list and ask
yourself.
a. What has been on the list forever that isn’t getting done? Why? Can I delete it?
b. What can I move to 2025?
c. What has to get done this week? Next week? Before the end of the year?
d. Is there anything on the list I can delegate?
2. Block off time each week from now until New Year’s time of rest for you. Make it at least an hour. This is time for you. If you need ideas, my new book, Chasing Sunsets, has 101 ideas! Get it here!
If you need inspiration, here are a few podcasts that might help.
Episode 68: A Giving Tradition: The Power of Priorities for a Better Year
Episode 75: The Power of Saying No, Pausing Busy, and the Gift of Rest
Episode 112: Managing Priorities: Navigating Trade-Offs for Successful Goal-Setting
Blocking out time now, getting organized in your to-do list, and scheduling rest will
hopefully lead to a less stressed holiday season. And remember, not everything will go
as planned, so give yourself grace when it doesn’t.
Blessings,
Stephanie
